Picks come from our own power numbers for every FBS team, built from this season's and last season's scores and adjusted for rest, letdown and lookahead spots and a starting quarterback who is out. When our number and the betting line disagree, we take the side our number likes. The trust score (10-100) is built from our own inputs only: how much current-season game data sits behind both teams' numbers, and how strongly our number leans on the game. It is not a win chance. Top picks are the games whose trust score clears our bar, up to two a week — weeks without a strong enough lean have fewer, or none. They are flagged before kickoff and graded on their own record, as published, from Week 6 on. The line is locked in when a pick is posted, and the pick is graded against that number, not the closing line.
