The stage is set. Superstar Patrick Mahomes and the electric Kansas City Chiefs are set to take on MVP Candidate Jalen Hurts and the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII in Arizona. The early markets have opened the the Chiefs favoured by -1.5 points, and the total sitting at 49.5, is there value in the market now? And will the line move dramatically before game time? Fly Eagles Fly
What a season for the Philadelphia Eagles, finished atop of the AFC with a 14-3 record in the regular season. Jalen Hurts has been outstanding all season long (14-1 as starter) and today’s game against the 49ers was no different. The 49ers suffered injuries at the QB position, but nonetheless the Eagles steam rolled to a 31-7 victory sending them to their second Super Bowl in 5 years (won in 2017).
The eagles led 21-7 at halftime and cruised easily without a QB on the 49ers end. For the game Hurts finished 15 for 25, 121 yards, 11 rush for 39 yards and 1 rushing TD. Overall the eagles managed 25 first downs against the number 1 ranked 49ers defence, including 148 rushing yards and converting 3/3 4th downs.
Mahomes finally tops Burrow
The public was actively picking the Bengals to come out and win this game, but the experts (us) knew to take Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs as home underdogs in a playoff game! It is safe to say there were some questionable calls from the officials and a strange game overall but as we hoped it boiled down to another nail biting finish. Defensive Tackle Chris Jones stepped up big in the closing minute, with a 3rd down sack of Burrow giving the ball back to his offence with 30 seconds on the clock. Skyy Moore came in clutch with a huge punt return, and Mahomes on the troubled ankle ran the Chiefs into field goal range, with Butker ultimately nailing the game-winning 45 yard field goal with 8 seconds left on the clock.

Mahomes finished 39/43 for 326 yards and 2 TD’s. Valdes-Scantling also had a big game going 116 yards on 6 catches and 1 TD.
Early Prediction
Obviously there are still two weeks to go until the big game, and our team will be working tirelessly looking for ways to exploit the market (on that note, we usually have a lot more props for the Super Bowl, we went 14-3-1 last year). Right now the only edge we see is on the under. We expect this total to move down several points from 49.5 after how stagnate the Chiefs offence looked, plus how Mahomes was limited with the ankle Injury. Whilst this isn’t a strong position, it is worth considering.
