Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors: King vs Chef

We had a huge NBA season going for 69% on our bets and over 210 units. Now we turn to the 2021/22 season to do even better. Lebron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are taking on Steph Curry and the warriors in an exciting play in game rematch.

Key Trends:

-  Under is 8-2 in last 8 meetings

Steph Curry had a huge last season, as he averaged 30 points per game with ease, had multiple 10+ 3’s games and win the scoring title. Story of last year was no Klay Thompson, who was out with an Achilles injury. Unfortunately he is still not ready to make his return, and is most likely looking at a December or later for his first game back. He also had a 40+ game in the preseason, so expect Curry to come out blazing from deep. As for the rest of the Warriors we really do not know what to expect. Andrew Wiggins has his moments, and youngster’s Damion Lee and Jordan Poole show some talent. This team is pretty well behind the mark until Klay gets back.

As for the Lakers, they are full of talent. Led by Lebron, Davis and now Westbrook they are a serious threat to make it to the finals. As for potential, I put them on top of the West. The biggest issue they are going to face is Health. Kendrick Nunn is questionable for this game and Talen Horton Tucker is also out. That shouldn’t be too much of a concern for this Lakers team that will look to get a good run out with their new line-up. Expect a lot of Davis playing centre and Carmelo Anthony putting in some good work off the bench.

I see this game playing out in one of two ways. The Lakers will all click, establish an early lead and just cruise their way to a 10+ point win or Steph will come out and rain fire from deep carrying the warriors all the way and keeping the game close. I lean towards the Lakers more in this one simply because of talent pool. Expect a fairly low scoring game, as the Lakers work each other out and Steph still being the only option for serious offence for the Warriors. Consider the under in this one.
