We are headed to Philadelphia for the first game of the NFL Championship round as the star-studded 49ers look to claim the NFC Championship over the no. 1 seed Philadelphia Eagles. The biggest question, can rookie Brock Purdy handle this super fast Eagles team on the road?

Rookie QB Looks to Remain Undefeated as Starter
The San Francisco 49ers have been completely dominant over the past three months. With their divisional round win over Dallas (19-12) last weekend they have now won 12 straight games. Purdy was great in this game throwing forÂ
200-plus yards without an interception for the second consecutive week in the win over Dallas, while Elijah Mitchell and Christian McCaffrey combined to run for 86 yards on 24 carries. Mitchell is dealing with a groin injury and McCaffrey suffered a calf contusion, but they are both expected to play on Sunday. They are facing a Philadelphia defense which ranked second in total defense during the regular season. The Eagles have tallied 75 sacks, marking the third most in league history behind the 84’ Bears and the 85’ Bears.
The 49ers defence is incredible and held the Cowboys to just 12 points. Whilst this is an achievement, you have to factor in the fact that Dak completely fell apart and played very poorly, something we are all to used to seeing from the Cowboys star QB. This week they have to face an Eagles team that has dominated opposing defences in all year long.Â

Hurts Looks Ready
The biggest question mark heading into last week's game between the Eagles and the Giants was the condition of Jalen Hurts, it is safe to say he looked great, despite the fact he didn't really have to test himself, easily handing the Giants a blowout loss.Â
Hurts completed his first seven passes, threw for two touchdowns and added another one on the ground after failing to record a touchdown in the regular season finale. Running backs Kenneth Gainwell and Miles Sanders had their way, combining for 202 of the team’s 268 rushing yards. The Eagles also held New York to just one touchdown and 227 total yards.Â
Hurts stands behind one of the best offensive lines in the league which leads to one of the biggest matchups in this game. San Francisco's defense that led the NFL in total defense (300.6) and scoring defense (16.3) this year. Defensive end Nick Bosa recorded a league-high 18.5 sacks and is a finalist for the Defensive Player of the Year award.Â

Eagles are Super Bowl Favorites For a Reason
The game script for the 49ers in this one is run the ball down Philly's throat. Only problem with that is both their running backs are banged up. The Eagles looked unstoppable against the Giants and whilst this is a big leap up in opponent I feel much better backing MVP candidate Jalen Hurts over a rookie QB making his first road playoff start.Â
Prediction: Philadelphia Eagles -2.5
